Full transparency, I didn't attend this event. What I am going to do is geek out with the announcements we just got about some Final Fantasy merch! Well, not just Final Fantasy, but I do want to highlight Final Fantasy stuff! The chances of me getting anything else but the FF stuff is pretty slim-to-none but I do want to showcase some amazing and interesting things that popped up with this event. So without further adieu, let's check them out!
A beautiful Lightning statue and it's definitely something I would love to have in my collection. I love how she's posed and looks at all those details with this prototype. And with a face like that, I'm sold!

FFXV is a favorite Final Fantasy of mine. I know, it's very flawed but the character really got to me. While this version of Noctis isn't the one I fell in love with within the first FFXIII Versus trailer, it is Noctis and his story was good enough. With that said, I wouldn't mind a good-affordable statue/figurine of him. From this prototype version of the figurine, I think we have a good contender!
And the next one in the process? Fran! The Viera that really put Vieras on the map! Holy crap! If she's not a must... Also, take a look at the pic below:
Fran, Lightning, and Noctis are my main displays for my Playarts Kai. I've talked plenty about PAK and how they've been on a downward trend for me. And I'll talk about it more as we get more updates from the Good Smile, but it's rare to see Final Fantasy merch outside of Square Enix. At this point, I'm just about checked out of Square's efforts with the collectibles so to see them license them off to someone like Good Smile is a damn good thing.
Okay! This post started about the Good Smile Final Fantasy announcements but just glancing through the Wonder/Winter Festival, there are some cool things to talk about. I'm not going to go into details and for some of these characters I have zero attachments but the figures look good! With that said, enjoy some of the things I highlighted!
I don't have any more room for Harly Quinns but my, oh my, it's a good-looking one! It's the anime version of her and, sheesh! Tempted!
Sorceress Sellen! She got done dirty in the game but man, this figurine looks good. Not sure what the price point of this gal would be but she might have a spot in my collection.
I'm out of room for 2B. You would think I'd just look away from A2... but here I am. Looking. Looking and impressed.
Not a chance I'll get this one. Zero chances! But the figurine is cool!

Yeah, I'm not sure if they're leaning in on the dramatics between Ochaco and Toga or if they're doing a bunch of fan service... I don't know. It looks good though and I'm interested to see the final product.
Another Souls-like and it's an articulated one. Again, very low chance I'm going to be getting this but it's nice to look at.
Who is this? What is she doing? What is she NOT wearing? Sexy but yeah, not going to get into the collection for sure. I'm curious to keep an eye on it though.
Whoa. What a presence. Ultraman? I do need an Ultraman merch, speaking of. A bust though? Probably not. Though this one is pretty sick-looking.
Another good-looking figure of a character that I have zero idea where she's from or what she's all about. Pretty sure I'm not going to get anywhere near that figurine but she does look really good.
I don't know who this is. I don't know what she does. But I love the details in this piece. Probably a hefty price and probably will never have her but sheesh! It's a good-looking piece for sure!
Don't know what that is. A Gundam? I But damn. Look at that thing! If I had all the money in the world, all things such as this would be in my collection!
The Wonder/Winter Con had a lot more to offer. Click on any of the pics to get into the rabbit hole I found myself in. They showed a lot of good stuff and the cosplayers are pretty good at what they did. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to stick with the Final Fantasy things from Good Smile, but, hey, there are so many to gawk at and enjoy looking at, right? Though if anything else that I missed and/or showed here keeps getting my attention, will keep posting about it. We'll see, right?
