So here we are with another Holiday addition to my growing POP collection. Well, to be honest, this one isn't mine and it's my friend's. She is, after all, a huge Stitch fan! So without further adieu, let's take a look at this Holiday Stitch from Funko!
This is a cute set. There is that slight danger of Stitch being overexposed, but he does sell and the majority of the product that comes out about Stitch are adorable his first movie was awesome so I can't blame Funko/Disney for marketing him for collectibles... a live-action film is questionable though.
The funny thing is that this is supposed to be a Christmas present but my friend saw it at Hot Topic and was about to buy it. No amount of distraction worked this time, so she got it as an early present! And it's a nice little present! Stitch is, after all, in the spirit of Christmas and here he is ripping his present out of the box and wrapper to reveal Scrump, who, might I add, is also in line with the holidays! I love the pose that implies a lot of movement. The pieces of the gift wrap on his teeth and his hands! The Santa hat maintains the details I've encountered with the holiday POPs thus far! I love this POP! It has a lot of character just from the sculpture and pose alone.
Stitch's colors are vibrant and very sharp. They're all neatly colored and I don't see any paint blemishes! While experiment 626 is mostly blue, the Christmas Spirit isn't lacking thanks to the colors of the hat. Scrump is also in the spirit and it is pretty well painted as well. Colors are definitely one of this POP's strong point.
I know, these two are really into the festivities! And, no. She and I are not going to get every Stitch Christmas POPs, I promise. But POP Stitch w/ Candy Cane is just too cute so we got both!
As an exclusive, I'd have to say that this is pretty good. Stitch has a lot of good details placed and most of it is subtle until you really look at the POP. The colors are vibrant and pops out making this POP a worthy Christmas addition. For any Stitch fans who wants to deck their halls with their favorite little monster, this one is a must. My friend certainly did!
