Funko POP: Stitch in Costume (Beast)

Hey! It's 06/26/24! That means it's time to celebrate one of Disney's most adorable abominations, Stitch, aka Experiment 626! And, yes! It's another Stitch in Costume! So let's get into the review, shall we?

This series has more potential than I would like to admit. This is my good friend's POP, which, of course, she is more than willing for me to review. I wouldn't buy one for myself, if I was to get a Stitch POP, I'd like him with all his arms or Leroy. But, let's see what else my friend buys... or what I gift her. She's also spoiled at times!

Not a bobblehead! Though that is an adorable face!

It's a cutely done POP, for sure. I love the mock formal attire, adding in some little sculpting work, adding in little details, and the like. I like the things that Stitch did to make himself resemble the Beast. I also love that flower his holding. At least this beast has a few more petals to drop, right? As far as the pose, it's simple but it allows us to show some of the humor of Stitch trying to mimic a prince (who is a beast). I love that face though. He's got a nervous grin or an unsure smile.

It looks like Stitch with the layer of the Beast's clothes--or a makeshift of it. The coloring is well done except for a few misses here and there. I notice the imperfection on his makeshift beast ears and the 'tail'. Nothing major to deter me from appreciating the paintwork. Also, I love the different shades of blue!

I do like that background artwork with the POP!

Also... that's a classic. This POP isn't the first time this franchise and characters interacted!

See! Stitch's costume is immaculate! Next to that deluxe POP, it all comes together, eh?

Was there really something there that wasn't there before? Well, at least the flower can cajole Belle, right?

Stitch in Simba's costume definitely has the cute factor down compared to Beast. But, hey, they're still utterly adorable next to each other!

Recommend? I definitely prefer the Simba for the cute factor. But make no mistake, there's some good work to this and because it's my friend's favorite character and Disney Prince (well, her favorite Disney Princess movie that is), I'd say it's a blessing. For a casual Stitch fan? As I mentioned before, the "Stitch in Costume" has a pretty good selling point so it's a thumbs up from me!

Until Next Time!
