Hey, a Spider-Man POP! Who would've thought? This Spider-Man outfit is kind of a unique one so let's see if his POP can live up to the uniqueness of the Last Stand, eh?

Another addition to the growing Spiderverse POP collection I have. Funny how bare he looks inside the box. And yes, as I go through the review, we're going to talk about how simple this POP is.

The idea of this Spider-Man suit is about a 'modernized' look of the Spidey norm. Pulling away from the skin-tight look. This is why this Spidey has loose jeans and a not-so-form-fitting jacket. But the mask and the logo stay! This Spidey is an older Peter Parker who just got tired of doing things the 'hero way'; he's darker and more aggressive, which, I guess, is why he has the modern outfit going on. At some point during the Spiderverse, Ezekiel took over so this suit isn't just a Peter Parker exclusive. As a POP, I appreciate the details put into him. Love the wrinkled sleeves, and the creases on the pants, and I love how the jacket turned out. And the mask, while it doesn't have the signature web lines (web-head haha), the eyes are sculpted, adding some depth to his mask.

To talk about the pose.... well there's not much going on. Typically we'd get a very dynamic Spidey or if he's not, he's usually doing something relevant to the Spider-Man character. Last Stand Spidey is just... standing there. Don't get me wrong, neutral poses usually have a good way of appreciating the designs and sculptwork but, yeah. Not 100% buying the notion that Spidey should've been standing so mundane.

The colors and paint job is something I am not going to complain about at all! While there isn't a lot of color variation on this guy, what they do have they're able to pull off! The spider logos are a highlight since they are cleanly done! All in all, a simple coloring scheme shouldn't be too hard and this POP proves it.

Some Spider-Men incorporate normal clothing into their crime-fighting shenanigans.

Two Spideys wearing red & black! Both are simple costumes and both sporting the best color combo!

I need a 'standard' Spider-Man comic book POP. With that said though, Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit is just classic and accurate.

I honestly can get behind this suit. Depending on who the artist is and how he is drawn, it can look like it should work as a long-standing suit. Also, it seems that it's blue with black shadows but... hey, let's just get red and black.

I'm not sure if I can fully recommend this POP to everyone. The pose may not be a seller and the fact that it's an obscure and very niche Spidey costume/storyline, I don't think it's going to resonate. However, he's got some good coloring and the details put into his outfit are something to admire. For me, it's a Spider-Man POP with a storyline I really like and the suit itself isn't bad looking. I'd say it's a must for my growing Spiderverse wall!
Until Next Time!
