Heroes in a half shell, TURTLE POWER! We have the most popular of the Turtles in hand, it's Raphael! Let's see how this turtle came out, right? Let's get into the review!
This is a neat set! I do want to finish this; not just the four but snag Slash as well. Maybe. We'll see. Pretty close!
Another one of those classic-looking Ninja Turtles in POP form! For Raph, the pose is good despite it being a simple one. It's just a good pose to let the collector see Raphael's details on his holster, his body, that scowling face that seems to have a bit more grudge than his brothers, and then, of course, the way his sais are made. The bandanna, the knees, wrists, and elbow pads have wrinkles are all there. The shell also has wrinkles, dents, and a rough-looking aesthetic. Well done in this department. He looks like a Ninja Turtle, he looks like Raphael; well done here, all in all.
Raphael is brighter than the other turtles! I do like how bright he is, the red sticking out, and overall, the colors are well done. The paint job is clean. No complaints at all.
It's an awesome sight to see next to his movie counterpart version. It's definitely a definite shift of art style, but it still looks like Raph! Next to his brothers from the same line conveys a very nostalgic picture. I can't wait to see all four together!
He's a must. This version I snagged lacks any QC so all-in-all, it's a well worth purchase. My good friend and I will finish this set soon, for sure (if we haven't done so already). TMNT/POP collectors, you get one turtle, you have to get all four and Raphael here adds his piece of the picture quite well. I recommend! Sculpt, coloring, and execution is on par with what we expect from Funko.
Until Next Time!
