Funko POP: Peppermint Lane/ Randy & Bob 2-Pack

Another Holiday #Funko #POP review! It's another 2-pack and it is Randy & Bob from Peppermint Lane! Also, "POP Christmas" is a thing! I shouldn't be surprised. So let's just get on with the review!

I have very little knowledge of this Holiday special. I am not even 100% sure if it's from another source material or an original Funko content (my small internet research led me to more POPs). Regardless, it was on sale earlier this year and it is a Holiday special so I'm in. It's also two elves that would really help drive the Christmas Spirit in a subtle but festive way! It's a win-win in all ways I see it, honestly.

Randy & Bob; clever names for Elves. I like these. I do need a new Santa Clause in my POP collection; also, that Christmas Tree is adorable. If I do that, might as well get Mrs. Clause and I have this feeling that this is going to be a cheap set when found at the month of May.

Let's start with Randy! This small elf looks like the bonafide worker, complete with a hard hat, toolbox, utility belt, and hammer! I like the look. It doesn't steer away from the Christmas theme that this 2-pack is trying to go for. The red, green, white, and black are all prominent. The sculpt, while not overly complicating, still does a fine job getting the right details where we need them. His pose is also very neutral but, hey, he's holding his tools and his hammer so it's all good.

Again, the paint is all there. It's clean, crisp, and spot on to the Christmas vibe. I will point out that this POP has a mouth painted in. Why? Not sure.

Every piece of equipment he is holding looks like it's removable; attention to detail with the pencil, the stool, his glasses, goggles, etc. Also, as Christmas helping Elf, he looks just right and in place within the realm of Funko's style.

The pose isn't all that dynamic. It's not bad. It does what it is supposed to do so I'm not at all complaining.

The color is well done. Just like Randy, the choices for the Christmas themed colors stand out, it's vibrant, and it feels/looks festive. There is uniformity with the two but different skin tones and the hair color does a fine job adding the believability that they are two different individuals.

Here they are next to each other. They're ready to make sure Christmas is all set and ready! I'm sure they have a plan set and ready to execute on the big day!

So honestly, this ain't exactly a must but for the festive spirit, it sure helps add some red and green. That and these elves are darn adorable. I may not know anything about Peppermint Lane, but they can be generic Christmas characters that fit right in with any Holiday shenanigans. They were up for a good bargain so they're nothing but a good addition all in all 2 months out of the year!

Until Next Time!
