POP Christmas Ornaments?! Yeah, they exist and I have a couple of them. I'm not sure if this is going to be a regular thing during the Holidays but let's at least take a look at the ones I do have. Without any further adieu, let's get into the review, shall we?
The surprising thing is that these things legit look like actual POPs. The details are all there and honestly, if one doesn't look that hard, one can actually mistake this as a regular POP. The string that holds an ornament is present so it's easy to distinguish. Holding the ornament though proves to be a very different story since it's made out of a heavy material and it's fragile! Definitely not your normal POP.
The colors are nothing to complain about. It's not the cleanest paint work but it does represent the character just fine. It's a good-looking piece, that's for sure.
Here is this POP Ornament next to a POP with the same design. Obviously there's a size difference and the colors are slightly off from each other. All in all, they look good together.
Moving on to Jack from The Nightmare Before Christmas! Yes, it's a Walmart exclusive.
Same goes for Jack. He has all the details that his POP counterpart has and it's appreciated. Again, he does have that ornament hook and string, but all in all, he's sculpted well and he's posed pretty good. Though Jack has that awkward smile thing going on, eh, still works.
Colors have some slight bleeding with the white portion of the hat but all in all the painting and coloring are just fine. The issue with the face is kind of weird, but that's just the artistic style.
Here is POP Ornament Jack Skellington next to his regular POP counterpart. You can see the size difference more! Also, the plastic material is more prominent with these two next to each other.
I don't foresee myself reviewing these POPs in the future. Now I know what I'm getting into. I will continue to purchase them for my Christmas Tree! Be aware though that they have weight on them so they're a bit heavy for certain branches. But all in all, they do their job! I'm happy!
Although it's been said, many times, in many ways, Merry Christmas y'all!
Until Next Time!
