Funko POP: Maria Renard

Alright, here we go! Another Castlevania POP in the collection! With Nocturne introducing Maria Renard to the current generation, I was excited to know she would have a POP. So here she is! Let's check out Maria Renard in POP form, shall we?

It's a good set honestly. I might be tempted to get the ones I don't have but we'll see.

I like Maria's updated outfit compared to her original outfit during this time of her life. It does look more like Maria Renard's outfit from Symphony of the Night but the color harkens back to her original dress. Speaking of, all of the details are painstakingly present. She's got this Victorian look to her outfit, but still given that Castlevania flare, it looks neat. Love the way the layers came out, those pilgrim-looking shoes (probably incorrect), and the sash completes it. I love the way they did her hair, so perfect. I would've preferred a magic-casting-like pose over this too-neutral look. Some magical effect would've done this POP some magic, for sure. I wouldn't say I'm too disappointed since it lets the POP show off its details, though, from a character standpoint, Maria would be doing more.

The colors are Maria's strength as a POP. I love the accuracy to her clothing--pink and white with a pale green sash and bow. I love the green eyes too. Honestly, the colors are all evenly distributed, sharp, and cleanly done. Really no complaints with this department.

Alright! Here is POP Maria Renard next to two other Netflix Castlevania females! Honestly, her too neutral pose definitely bogs her down next to the two, but she still looks great!

A must? This might be a good snag for any Castlevania fans, especially of the Netflix. The pose and lack of magical effects or even one of her familiars hurt this POP. However, the details and the coloring does somewhat make up for it. I don't regret having her, but there's that 'I wish it could've been better' feeling. I do hope the next wave, if there are any, does a better job highlighting its characters!

Until Next Time!
