We got another POP review! Another X-Men to add to the growing Mutant head count! Magik is a character gaining momentum and hoping to get mainstream attention. She was in New Mutants but not exactly a movie that pushed the characters to stardom. Regardless, we got a Magik POP, so let's look at how she fares in her Funko POP form, eh?
This is a special X-Men POP series. I know I have a few X-Men POPs so here's one more to add!
Illyana Rasputin has had many costumes over the years. Depending on where she stood on the hero/villain spectrum, her costume changed. The one represented is her most current one and I can say it's one of her better outfits. It's sleek, and black, gives some sexiness to her, and all of that is represented adequately in POP form. Hard to catch with the photos but there are some details on her outfit. The pose isn't my favorite but it does showcase Magik's Soulsword. It does have the proper sculpting and I appreciate the choice of plastic used. Her hair is also properly represented and it won't be Magik with the hair! All in all, this department is well done.
Magik's color scheme is pretty simple, honestly. I like the shiny black to represent the leather, the matted blonde, and the skin tone--it all comes together just fine! I love the choice of plastic for the Soulsword which gives it this ethereal look. All in all, this department is a solid A.
Here is POP Magik next to POP Omega Red. They are from the same wave and they both look really good!
This one is a win, that much is certain. I hope that Illyana gets her spotlight soon since she is an amazing character! Her POP also looks great! X-Men fans don't miss out on this POP since there's plenty to love!
