Ladypool POP from the Deadpool & Wolverine movie--Diamond version! I love that movie, ya know? It's special in more ways than I can express. So with that said, let's get to the review of Ladypool, shall we?
The waves from this movie are not stopping. I can guarantee you that this won't be the last POP from that movie that I am going to have in my collection! Maybe not from this wave, but trust me! More are coming!
Ladypool had a small part in the movie, but damn, did she make her presence known! I knew right away that I wanted a POP of her so here I am now. I was initially going to get the regular version but opted for the Diamond since I don't get too many of those (the last I got, is Elsa, I believe). I guess it's just the novelty of it since I have a lot of commons. With that said the details are all still there with Ladypool. The sculpt on her mask does give her that signature Deadpool face. The straps, the belt, and the holsters are all present and are beautifully sculpted to provide this POP with depth. The pose isn't exactly what I would've picked for her, but it works, too. The hair not having the diamond texture is odd, but this department isn't too bad at all, and there are plenty of little details to enjoy.
The colors are pretty solid since it's accurate. They tried to color in the straps, holsters, belts, swords, etc.; I can appreciate the result. From looking at the vanilla version, it seems the coloring is also spot on so there's that. The diamond texturing gives it a complex look with the coloring but all in all, it's a job well done.
I know! Gwenpool is not a Deadpool variant! But here she is next to Ladypool so there's that!
It's a Deadpool Corps party! I swear my Deadpool collection is growing.
POP: Deadpool Corps
Here is the POP Ladypool next to Bishouojo Ladypool. I know, two different toy lines that focus on vastly different things.
A must? I'd say to have a Ladypool POP in your collection, yes it's a must. It's a diamond exclusive so for those who aren't a fan of the texture, the shine, and the overall gimmick, the vanilla version of Ladypool may be the one way to go. I'm satisfied with mine--pretty happy, actually but I wouldn't be mad if I just had the regular one. But all in all, a thumbs up from me.
Until Next Time!
