A My Hero Academia POP! This one's not mine but I am more than excited to check out this powered-up Deku! So let's get right into the review, shall we?
They have a lot of MHA POPs. They have a lot of good characters. This set... it's okay. I know the specific season they are highlighting. And... what?! A jumbo version of this POP?!
Focusing on a specific character appearance when it comes to POP, well, it's pretty bold since every little detail has to be taken into factor in order for it to come out as accurate as possible. And judging from what I remember, the details are all there. First let's talk about how he is posed--it's very battle ready and it allows for the collector to take in as much of the details as possible. Love the way his costume's design is sculpted into POP form. The glowing energy coming out of him, the way his hair is styled to fit the scene is well done. Little Eri behind him is just so cute but also appropriate for the fight. Those energy effects on his eyes and all around him is just a highlight for me! I love the way he is done.
There's a lot of praise I can say about the colors. I really appreciate what they did here. There are some paint defects, of course, like the one I pointed out with his skin and hair. There is plenty to like though with the way each scrap of clothing is painted, the attention to Deku's attire, the two-tones of his hair, and the choice of color for the energy emanating from his body--it all just comes together.
Eri looks so adorable! A tiny little POP on the back of a regular sized POP. I am curious how that jumbo POP version of this would look!
I don't have an Ochaco but there's Mina Ashido and Jiro Kyoka.
And another powerhouse next to Deku, Shoto Todoroki. These two look really good together. Just need the other fireball, eh?
POP: My Hero Academia
This POP has a lot of winning qualities. With all the Deku POPs out there, this is a pretty good piece. I got this as a gift for a special person and she loves it. I'm also happy to have gotten him since this is a monumental moment in MHA. For any Deku and MHA fans out there, this is a good choice. Very specific pose, nicely sculpted, special effects, great colors, and the plus of little Eri--I'd say there are plenty of things to love. I recommend!
Until Next Time!
