Funko POP: Ghostface

Halloween POP for review! Yes, these seasonal FUNKO POPs are growing aren't they? While Ghostface can be argued as a year-round kinda guy, I'm going to just keep him as a Halloween theme. With that said, let's get into the review, shall we?

I've only seen the first scream from way back when but I've been told the most recent one was good. I'll see. Also, that JUMBO POP! I'll pass but it might be an interesting addition if I can find it for dirt cheap. But Ghostface common is just fine.

He's not a bobblehead

There's really not much to say about Ghostface's costume. It's not the most intricate look in the world but the iconic face had to be done right and Funko did their job since it looks like the knife-wielding killer in POP-stylized look. He's posed rather simple but it does allow for the POP to show the robe's wrinkles, the loose fabric around his arms and legs, and he is holding the knife rather menacingly. It's a simple idea and it was done right so plenty to be happy about.

I do like the way he is holding the knife! Again, very menacing-like.

One thing to point out is the inconsistent black colors between the hood and the rest of the robe. The hood is matted black while the bottom is a bit more shiny. I'm not going to say that it's a deal breaker but it is noticeable. Everything else is decent enough. I thought there'd be more blood other than the knife, but that's my fault for assuming that this was the special version. My fault.

Quick and straightforward review. Verdict on this guy? It's a good POP. I love this thing and if I wasn't focused on Halloween POPs, I'd say he could be an all-year round display. But regardless if you choose to put him up for the spooky season or for casual display, I'd say he's a thumbs up. But be more mindful unlike me that this is a common and not special. I know, a seasoned POP collector making such an asinine fumble. Still, this one is still a good substitute if you don't want to go to the second market for the bloody version.

Until Next Time!
