What a cute POP! It's a different kind of POP that, honestly, doesn't fit anywhere in my usual collection. But this isn't mine. It's my friend's and she got a chase! Without further adieu, let's go ahead and take a look at this odd, but very interesting Funko collaboration with Target, Nickelodeon, and the TMNT property!
Target is no stranger to collaborating with companies to grab more swipes from the fandoms' wallets. This one has their well-known mascot, Bullseye the dog. He's in a target basket with some TMTNT-related merch! I also love the effort put into the description!
While most POPs usually follow a stylized base, some go beyond the norm even if they are categorized under 'common-standard' POP lineups. This series, the TargetxTMNT, these things are pretty unique. Bullseye is in a very detailed and accurate target basket, happy and content as he is equipped with some TMNT-related paraphernalia like pizza and a skateboard, and perching on top of his head is a plush Michelangelo. All of these things are sculpted quite nicely and I love the effort put into placing Bullseye and the other items inside the basket. Though keep in mind that the skateboard's wheels are stagnant and can't spin. I know, right? Falling short on some details!
I love the knot of his bandanna and that drooping pizza! Love the details!
The colors are spot on! You look at the basket and you recognize that it's a target basket. The white bullseye is painted accurately! Bullseye has a nice shade of white, the target sign on his eye is cleanly done, and the accessories inside the basket are all colored as they are supposed to be. Little Mikey on top of Bullseye's head is also recognizable thanks to the paint job! All in all, no complaints!
I love the squinting happy eyes! What a cute adorable little dog! The sculpted bandanna and the eyes over the orange 'cloth' makes this POP even more animated! So cute!
Bullseye next to the POP Classic Michaelangelo! The plush Mikey on Bullseye's head fits the true vibe of Mikey from the cartoon.
Oh yes! My friend got Raph too! I'll be reviewing him soon enough! But they all look so adorable! One day, we'll have all four!
This is a cute little idea! A must? For my friend and me? Yes, a must. It's a niche, for sure, but it's got a lot going on, fantastic details, and a sky-high cuteness level! I doubt we'll find these out in the wild again, but for now, I'm just happy to have Mikey (and Raph). I'm looking forward to nabbing Leo and Don (eventually).
