Funko POP: Blink (Age of Apocalypse)

Blink and you'll miss her! Another POP that I didn't think I would end up having in my collection, but lo and behold, here she is, Blink! One of the standouts from Age of Apocalypse and, no doubt, has one of the coolest poses for a POP! Well, let's just get into the review, shall we?

Again, only three on this set! Damn near finished with this!

She is, indeed, a bobblehead

Blink's design is all about her skin tone and the bright green outfit she wears. Her outfit, in general, is pretty simple, but it offers enough 'intricacy' to give Blink a spotlight. Her powers also probably do a whole lot to make her stand out (at least for a bit). Funko did an amazing job replicating her look and incorporating her mutant powers into this stylized POP design! First, let's talk about all the details of her clothing--wrinkled clothing article, she's got those energy daggers between her fingers, and then the way her portal is sculpted is awesome! Love how her hair is flowing with her movement, and all in all, it's a job well done with this department.

I love her pose! It's a simple pose, but it gives Blink a lot of dynamics! The usage of her portals works well here. Nothing detrimental to the POP, but if there was a word bubble saying 'blink' to replicate the sound her portal makes, it would have been golden. But that's a different kind of POP.

From this angle, though, it looks like Blink's got a dismembered leg

The colors are spot on to represent Blink as she appeared in the comics. The darker magenta contrasts with the lighter tone of her skin, the green eyes, which are also vastly different from her green clothing. And then the translucent pink for her energy daggers and portal completes the look. Great choices of color, well executed, all in all, there are no complaints from me when it comes to here.

Simple details on this gal but it's still a good looking POP.

POP Sunfire (AoA) is my only other one from this set. It's a small set so the chances of me finishing it is pretty close!

Blink isn't as popular as she used to be but she still has some fans out there. With a simple costume design but very vibrant color scheme, she can catch some fans' eyes. Also, her mutant powers has a bit of a quirk compared to other teleporters. I love how they incorporated all the things I just mentioned into this little POP! I highly recommend for fans of her and/or fans of the Age of Apocalypse storyline!
