Now this is a beauty, ain't it? An older Ame-Comi I own that I am pretty excited to review. Much like the previous Ame-Comis I've reviewed thus far, this is a few years old PVC statue so we'll look at it from those lenses. So without further adieu, let's go.
If I could turn back the hands of time, I would've liked to have Ame-Comi Hawkgirl in hand. She seems like she's got a great design. Not sure about Arisa though.
Black Flash is another variant of Ame-Comi Flash. She's the evil version and just from visuals alone, she seems like a Black Lantern Flash. Regardless if she is just a straight-one-on-one evil version of Ame-Comi Flash or she's a Black Lantern, her designs overall, is amazing! I love the body suit that looks perfect for a runner-speedster character--a speedster who wants to show off some skin, that is. I love the designs on her outfit, the running boots(?), the gloves, and that mask with the signature lightning ears. As a PVC statue, I love how well they implemented her designs. Love the sculpted lightning patterns on her bodysuit, and I love the evil-looking mask. The mold for her body is slim, athletic, and well curved, but too extreme to the point that she'd be too distracting. Again, this has always been my favorite Ame-Comi in my collection after all these years!
I love that pose! It's very neutral and simple but it does imply that Black Flash is about to take off and cause havoc. Also, I appreciate these kinds of poses since we are able to appreciate the designs of the character and the work put into detail out the figurine.
Her colors are also impressive, considering her color palette lacks variety. Flash's skin is grey as if she were made out of ash or soot. The main color of her body suit, boots, and gloves is black and charcoal grey, and there are hints of silver throughout to give her suit contrast. I love the way they make the colors of grey, black, and silver look so varied. Even Flash's hair is given a dull black to make it stand out against her suit's dominantly black theme. Nicely done.
That logo on her chest is awesome. The way the face is painted may not be as sharp as I would like but it still holds up.
The lightning decors all over her suit are also sculped in to give her suit more depth. Love her physique too.
Again, the pose is something I truly like. She's not doing much but you know she is about to tear things up!
I couldn't get any solo images of her, but one can see her in action with the pics I managed to snag from the web. The Ame-Comi PVC statue is pretty accurate.
Then there's regular Ame-Comi Flash. Very bright! Unless I find her dirt cheap, it's an easy pass for me. She looks cool though!
Worth it? I'd say it's my favorite Ame-Comi so yeah, for me, it's worth it. She's the only one from my Ame-Comi collection that is displayed. Great figure, an awesome pose, a good enough paint job, and a character that fits the bill. She might be hard to find now and her pricepoint may be inflated, but take it from me, I think she has some worth to her. Depends on your fandom and the space you do or don't have. For me, I'm happy to have her displayed.
