There will be a handful of Ame-Comis coming in for this year, just warning y'all! This time, we have Cheetah, one of Wonder Woman's longest-running rivals! She's got a very unique design and a far cry from her original look so this is going to be interesting. Without further adieu, let's take a look at Ame-Comi Cheetah, shall we?

I do like how the box showcases the figurine. Still very much a format that imports vinyl statues do these days.

Cheetah was always one of those female villains who leaned toward the naked-ish side. She had spots, claws, a feral face, and all that. Of course, multiple versions of her existed, and plenty of artists reimagined her in their vision—plus, different generations and changing times called for updates. So, seeing a complete overhaul of Cheetah’s look in Ame-Comi isn’t jarring at all.
That said, her Ame-Comi iteration is a far cry from her usual appearance! While she still has that feline quality—the cat-like feral face, the claws, and the spots—Cheetah now wears clothing that leans more (or less) toward a tribal aesthetic. I love those tattered, one-piece garments paired with the sleeveless jacket; they give her a rugged, worn-out look as if she just threw together the last scraps of clothing she had left. Her thigh-high boots are a great touch, revealing just enough skin while keeping her legs from being completely bare. The way the ends of the boots resemble tabi shoes also gives a nod to the Eastern influences of Ame-Comi.
Another striking feature is her unproportioned hands, which seem to emphasize her hack-and-slash tendencies with those lethal claws. And then there’s her belt—an animal skull held up by a chain. It’s a small detail, but one that the figurine version captures exceptionally well.

All of the details of her outfit are represented in plastic form. I'll talk more in-depth about every detail but I will point out that the pose does this figurine justice. Her running posture allows for a good view of all the details of her outfit and all her bells and whistles. The stand also allows for her to stand on one leg so that's a plus.

I am impressed with how her paint job came out, both from an execution and a choice of colors standpoint. I mentioned in Wonder Woman's Ame-Comi review that a decade ago the paint job wasn't up to par with today's standard but something about Cheetah stands out to me. I love the color combination of her dark skin, her earth-toned outfit, and the little specs of detail throughout! As we look at the figurine throughout, you can see some of the finer work put into her!

I love the work put into the details of her clothes. Plays on the tattered worn and torn outfit. I also love her face! The color of her hair clashed in a complimentary way against her skin. And then those eyes of hers too!

The paint wash goes well with the sculpted wrinkles. She also has those dots that play into her cheetah persona.

A lot of good things to notice here, right?

The final touch of Cheetah's belt adds more layers to her clothing and the overall display aesthetic of this Ame-Comi.

Ame-Comi Cheetah next to her rival, Ame-Comi Wonder Woman! They're such a contrast from each other, I love it! Though while Diana kept the majority of her familiar designs, Cheetah is almost unrecognizable. However, like I've mentioned in this review, I hardly mind this design choice.
Her comic counterpart is a bit more expressive. Also, looks like she throws those animal skulls as a weapon, it seems.

I like this figurine of Cheetah. As we go through a couple of Ame-Comi characters I have collected over the last few years, we'll see if Cheetah keeps the fire going. So much to like about this Cheetah statue though. I recommend her if one can find her for a reasonable price point, of course.
Until Next Time!
